The Association of African Universities (AAU) invites you to the historic 24th Conference of Rectors, Vice-Chancellors and Presidents of African Universities (COREVIP 2027), co-hosted by KCA University in Nairobi, Kenya. This special edition marks the AAU's 60th Anniversary - a Diamond Jubilee that serves not as a look backward, but as a decisive springboard for the future of African higher education.
COREVIP 2027 will convene over 1,000 participants, including University Presidents, Rectors, Vice-Chancellors, Government policymakers, Ministers of Education, global higher education partners, industry leaders, development organizations, technology innovators, research institutions, and youth representatives. This is where the architects of Africa's future will gather - not merely to dialogue, but to build. The conference is a continental platform for transformation, innovation, investment, partnership, and impact, ensuring that African universities become decisive actors in the continent's development story.
The programme features high-level leadership dialogues, investment conversations, innovation showcases, dedicated AI and Youth Summits, communities of practice, and action-focused declarations. COREVIP 2027 aims to develop a continental transformation agenda; strengthen collaboration across governments, industry, and global partners; showcase African research and institutional excellence; promote investment in higher education; launch measurable initiatives; and celebrate AAU's 60 years while shaping the next 60. Legacy outputs include the African University Transformation Declaration, the AAU 60-Year Anniversary Report, the African University Resilience Index, the Future Skills Framework, a Continental Innovation Showcase, and new institutional partnerships.
COREVIP 2027 is not simply a conference – it is a continental commitment. We invite every leader who understands that Africa's prosperity depends on its universities to join us in Nairobi. Be part of the Diamond Jubilee. Be part of Africa's future.
